What we keep, what we don't.

What you give us

When you generate a reading you give us your name, date of birth, optional birth time, and birth place. For compatibility readings, the same details for the other person.

When you pay for a reading through Razorpay checkout, you also provide your email address. We use this to email you a copy of your report if you choose to receive one.

What stays on your device

Readings you've viewed are also stored in your browser's local storage so they load instantly on return visits. Clearing your browser data clears your local copies.

What data we store

We store the following information on our servers: your name, date and time of birth, place of birth, email address, IP address, and payment ID. No card details are stored — payments are processed entirely by Razorpay.

What we store on our server

To avoid generating the same report twice, we cache readings on our server keyed by the birth date, time, place, and report type.

We use an AI model to write the reading. Your inputs are sent to the model's API to generate the text. We do not sell your data.

Your IP address is collected for security and abuse prevention purposes, including rate limiting and fraud protection.

Email

We use your email address to deliver report copies, send recovery codes, and occasionally share updates, new features, or offers we think you'll find valuable. You can unsubscribe at any time.

We use a transactional email provider to deliver emails. We do not share or sell your email address.

Each report is rendered as HTML inside the email itself — there is no attachment, and nothing about the email is stored on our server beyond standard delivery logs from our email provider.

Cookies and analytics

We use only the cookies needed for the site to work. We don't run third-party advertising trackers.

Data retention

We retain your personal data for as long as needed to deliver your reading. You may request deletion of your data at any time by emailing hello@naksha.life. We will action deletion requests within 7 days.

Children

Naksha is not for anyone under 12. We block reading generation when the entered date of birth is under 12 years old. If you are not old enough, please don't use the service.

Your rights

You can clear your local readings at any time from your browser. To request deletion of any data we hold about you, email hello@naksha.life from the address on file. We'll confirm and remove it within 7 days.
